Evan Wheeler is a part-time faculty member for the College of Professional Studies (CPS) teaching sveral graduate level specialization courses, including ITC 6300 Foundations of Information Security, ITC 6330 CISSP Preparation, and ITC 6315 Information Security Risk Management, to aspiring technology managers. These purely online courses use the latest in virtual education technologies to keep the content interactive and the students engaged.

The next session for ITC 6315 Information Security Risk Management will be offered online starting in Winter of 2012.




Instructor & Author for the SANS Institute

Course author and instructor for the MGT 442 Information Security Risk Management course. Instructor in the SANS Local Mentor Program in the SEC 508 Systems Forensics, Investigation, and Response course. Technical reviewer for the new SEC 427 Browser Forensics course. Contributed courseware content on risk management, attack methods, data retention concerns, and USB device security to MGT 512 Security Leadership Essentials for Managers, in an effort to revise the course to meet CompTIA objectives.

The next session for MGT 442 Information Security Risk Management will be offered at SANS London on December 3rd and 4th, and at SANS Cyber Defence Initiative (CDI) on December 15th and 16th.

Course Author for Clark University

Evan Wheeler is a curriculum author for the Master of Science in Information Technology program teaching a special topics course, Information Security Risk Management, to future CIOs and IT professionals. Evan is not currently teaching for Clark, but his risk management class continues to be offered as a special topics course.

The next session for this course will be offered at the Worcester campus starting in Spring of 2012, and will be taught by Eben Berry.
